Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday inaugurated the Odisha Startup Yatra and Startup Xpress-2023 that aims to achieve the target of 5,000 startups in the state by 2025. Over 25,000 students from over 260 institutions will take part in the programmes that aims to generate more than 3,500 ideas to foster innovation, according to a statement from the CMO.
Startup Odisha will have four dedicated vans to cover all 30 districts. A mobile app has also been launched to receive ideas from potential entrepreneurs.
Fifty ideas will be shortlisted and a three-day programme will be held for them. The top-25 Ideas will be invited to O-Hub for demonstration out of which 10 will be awarded seed funding of Rs 3 lakh each. Also, the top 20 ideas from the Startup Xpress-2023 will be invited for final pitching out of which 10 will be awarded with Rs 10,000. tnn
