Guwahati: The state president of the BJP Kishan Morcha in Assam resigned from the post on Tuesday on ‘moral grounds’. This following the alleged involvement of a few leaders in the recent cash-for-job scam in the direct recruitment exam that came to light after one of its woman leader died by suicide.
Debajit Bora said, “I informed the BJP’s state president Bhabesh Kalita about my decision to resign from the post on moral grounds about 10-15 days back. Finally, on September 7, I resigned from the post of state president of the cell. ”
He further added, “Alleged involvement of the now-expelled general secretary of the Kishan Morcha and involvement of two other members in the scam has come to light. Law will take its own course. The party has already taken action against them.”
