Grievance Day Meet: Mayor Receives 29 Petitions | – Times of India



Coimbatore: City mayor Kalpana Anandakumar received 29 petitions at the weekly grievance day meeting that was held at the corporation office here on Tuesday.
The grievances covered a wide range of issues, including poor roads, irregular supply of potable water, new drinking water connection, delayed underground sewage work and damaged electric poles, an official source said.
At 13, the highest number of petitions were received from the central zone, followed by the east and west zones (five each), north zone (four) and the south zone (one).
The petitioners appealed the mayor to take immediate steps to address the issues, some of which had been pending for a long time. The mayor has instructed officials concerned to look into the issues and resolve them at the earliest. Deputy mayor R Vetrichelvan, deputy corporation commissioner S Selvasurabhi and other officials were present. tnn
