Former Andhra Pradesh DGP’s son allegedly involved in brawl outside pub – Times of India

HYDERABAD: Former DGP and Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) chairman, Damodar Gautam Sawang‘s son was allegedly involved in a group brawl outside a pub at Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad on Wednesday night.
Though members of both the groups have reportedly suffered bruises in the fist fight, police are yet to register a case.
According to police, the incident happened at Zero40 pub in Road Number 10 of Jubilee Hills at around 11.30pm between senior IPS officer’s son, David Sawang’s group and another group.
Both the five member groups came out of the pub and shortly afterwards members of both the groups started punching each other.
After the assault, both the groups dispersed from the spot and later in the night, David, a sound designer, through his friend lodged a complaint with the police alleging that the members of the other group had assaulted them and caused injuries.
Meanwhile, photos of Siddharth, member of one of the group, with bruises on his face and arms are being circulated on the social media alleging that he was assaulted by David.
A screenshot of a message purportedly sent by David to a woman warning her boyfriend to stay out of his way is also being shared along with the photos of the injured man.
Police have contacted both the groups to come to the police station to record their statements.
It was also alleged that there was pressure on the members of the other group who had assaulted David to not approach police.
