Padatik brings back acclaimed actor Jaya Seal Ghosh on stage. She is an award winning actor used to frequently perform on stage after passing out from the prestigious National School of Drama, but in her words, “circumstances did not allow more stage acts, but now I am back with this performance and shall be doing a few more lined up soon.”
The Play – Kyunki champa ka vriksh utne hi dino mei phool deta hai, jitna tab deta thha is based on seven select writings of Tagore, Manto, Sharad Joshi. Anubha Fatehpuria is in charge of the script, design and direction apart from performance.
Talking more about the project, Jaya said, “I am excited, it is very challenging, this came suddenly to me when Anubha offered me to act in one of the 7 plays, Streer Potro by Tagore. For me this is relearning the process of theatre after a long gap, and this was very special for me. The concept is woven around a heritage property extremely nice.”
