Ludhiana: Khanna police have booked a former ASI for attacking his alleged lover with a beer bottle. The accused was identified as Amar Singh of Krishna Nagar.
The woman, who was undergoing treatment at a government hospital in Khanna, told cops that the accused has retired around three months back. She claimed that they had known each other for the past 12 years.
The complainant alleged the accused had thrashed her on multiple occasions in the past too and she couldn’t take it any more. She said she had gone to the court to meet the accused and then went to a hotel after taking bottles of beer on the way. A little later, the accused started abusing her and then attacked her with a beer bottle, leaving her in a pool of blood. She received multiple injuries. A case under Sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation), 294 (obscene acts and songs) of the IPC has been lodged. tnn
