Kanpur: R Kritika of Chennai won first prize and Laxmi Devi gold medal in the sixth national essay writing competition on the subject ‘Intolerance cases and remedies’, organized by Sujata Verma Smriti Samiti on Friday.
Ayesha Jamal and Sheela bagged second and third prizes respectively and were awarded Laxmi Devi silver medals. Six young talents, including Yashvardhan Singh, Avi Sharma, Suhani Yadav, Isha Sahai, Charu Gupta and Adina Mohan were also felicitated.
Speaking on this occasion, chief guest Sanjay Jhala of Jaipur stated that litteratiers must attack social evils without causing ill-will in the society. He released a book ‘Anam Taqazey’ , a collection of poems of 21 writers. He also felicitated six young talented children.
Kamal Musaddi and Priya Verma convened the programme. Earlier, Adin Mohan presented Ganesh Vandana and Suresh Awasthi welcomed the guests. Shubhro Sen spoke about the Samiti while Saran P. Verma proposed a vote of thanks.

Parmish Verma and Raftaar join hands for a new track
Parmish Verma has announced his collaboration with Raftaar for a new song through a social media post. The shoot for the song has already begun, and it is expected to be released later this year.
