AHMEDABAD: A 56-year-old Ambawadi resident on Thursday filed a complaint with Satellite police alleging that his domestic help’s husband slashed him with a knife over a trivial matter.
According to the FIR filed by Sanjay Gandhi, a resident of Tulip Citadel flats, his domestic help, Sharda Nepali, was carrying out chores at his residence on Thursday morning when her husband, Lalbahadur arrived and asked Gandhi to call her so that he could take her home. Gandhi reportedly told Lalbahadur to come back later as Sharda was yet to complete the work.
This angered the husband, who then drew a knife and allegedly slashed Gandhi’s arm, the FIR further states.
Lalbahadur allegedly fled the scene seeing Gandhi bleed. Gandhi later approached Satellite police and filed a complaint of causing grievous hurt against Lalbahadur.
Police said Gandhi had returned to the city on September 17 after spending 15 years in Germany and that Sharda had been a helper at his residence for an equal number of years.
