Prayagraj: After the arrest of eight accused involved in sensational Panda chauraha triple murder, joint teams of revenue, police and administration, on Friday, carried out an exercise to identify illegal occupants who have allegedly grabbed the gram sabha land at Moiuddinpur Gaus and adjoining villages.
The joint teams have also started demolishing illegal structures, particularly boundary walls being constructed on the gram sabha land. SP (Kaushambi) Brijesh Kumar Srivastava said, “The officials of revenue department have carried out an exercise to identify those people who have made illegal constructions on the gram sabha land in the village and decided to raze the illegal structures.”
Sources told TOI that joint teams have identified over 20 illegal structures (boundary walls and other constructions) spread around 56 beegha land and all these illegal structures would be razed to ground. The joint teams are currently checking out documents and records to raze the illegal structures.
It may be recalled that Kaushambi police had on Thursday arrested all the eight accused involved in the killing of three persons of a family who were found murdered inside their hut under the limits of Sandipan Ghat police station of Kaushambi district, on last Friday morning. The arrested persons were identified as Yadvendra alias Guddu Yadav, Arvind Singh Yadav, Ajeet Singh Yadav, Amar Singh, Amit Singh Chauhan, Anuj Singh Chauhan, Suresh Singh and Teerath Nishad, all residents of Sandipan Ghat.
The teams would also be checking as to the accused arrested in connection with the triple murder had made any illegal constructions on gram samaj land and if yes, these structures would also be razed to ground.

The shops were in violation of building bylaws and a complaint had been received. The owner was issued a warning. The municipal commissioner has directed officials to take strict action against violators and urged residents to get their building plans approved before initiating construction. In other news, the Kolkata Municipal Corporation will withhold completion certificates for housing projects or buildings that have illegally cut trees. Thane’s civic commissioner has warned staff and a private electricity provider against assisting illegal construction projects. The Calcutta High Court has urged the mayor to take action against officials who failed to act on an illegally built high-rise.

The decision came after a complaint from a resident about an illegal construction. Around 70-80 illegal buildings are being demolished every month, according to a KMC official. In other news, a school and other properties in Hisar’s Satrod Khurd village have been declared illegal by the Public Works Department. The buildings were constructed on government land, according to a demarcation survey.
