Rajkot: A 21-year-old college student was stabbed by a spurned lover in Jamnagar on Friday. The girl became unconscious and was rushed to G G Hospital for treatment.
The girl, Mitali Makwana, is a second-year degree student at Mahila College and is a resident of Nawagam Ghed area. Her father father Jitendra Makwana filed a complaint at City B Division police station.
According to Jitendra, he received a call from her daughter on Friday noon, informing him that she had been stabbed by Tushar Rathod.When he called back on her number, an unknown person received the call and told him that the girl was bleeding, had become unconscious and was being taken to G G Hospital.
“Rathod is a resident of Rajkot and a distant relative of Jitendra. He had proposed to Mitali for marriage several times in the past but she had refused.
