Up Board Secy Warns Against Fraudsters Issuing Fake Appointment Letters | – Times of India

Prayagraj: UP Board secretary Dibyakant Shukla on Saturday lodged a complaint with Prayagraj police after a fake appointment letter issued for the post of clerk at Public Inter College in Kerakat of Jaunpur bearing his forged signature came to light.
Shukla clarified that Secondary Education Board, commonly known as UP Board, does not appoint clerks or any other post in the schools of the state of its own and asked all to be vary of such unscrupulous elements who issue such fake letters.
The letter, shared by the secretary, was issued in the name of one Rajeev Ratan Singh of Virampur village of Jaunpur.
The fraudster had used the scanned signature of the secretary on a fake letter head of the Secondary Education Council Board.
“The appointment letter that has been printed on the letterhead of the Secondary Education Council Board, Uttar Pradesh is fake as this is not one used by the office. Also, the letter number, UPS 821 printed in the appointment letter, is not the letter number of the council’s office,” Shukla said.
He added that some unscrupulous elements are tarnishing the image of the council and the state government by misleading the public and are giving rise to a cognizable crime in the society.
He has sent an application to the Civil Lines police incharge to immediately file an FIR and initiate legal action.

The NMC had previously rejected the proposal for granting permission for the second batch of admissions. The college had claimed to have received permission for the intake of 150 students in the 2022-23 batch, but the NMC has confirmed that the letter is fake. Investigations are underway, including the possibility of NMC’s email account being hacked.
