Bihar’s dengue tally above 4600-mark | Patna News – Times of India

Dengue tally in the state crossed 4500-mark this year with 186 more people reported to have tested positive on Monday. While the overall tally reached 4643 so far this year, 4,368 cases were registered in September alone. An official said a slight drop in single day’s data was witnessed as samples tested on Sunday are comparatively less than the other days. Meanwhile, 245 patients were undergoing treatment at different government hospitals on Monday.
11 students hurt as van
overturns: At least 11 students of a private school were injured when a van carrying them overturned and fell into a water-filled paddy field near Bahbanauli village under the Ramnagar police station area in West Champaran district on Monday. The injured children were admitted to a local public heath centre (PHC). Incharge of the PHC, Dr Md Kazim, said the condition of three children was erious. SHO of Ramnagar police station Anant Ram said the accident occurred as the driver lost control over the vehicle.
Puja special train: A Puja special passenger train will run between Darbhanga and Daurai (Ajmer) to cope up with Puja rush. The weekly special train will run from October 7 to December 12. It will leave Darbhanga every Saturday and Daurai every Sunday, ECR CPRO Birendra Kumar said.
3 held in murder case: Police on Monday arrested three criminals, including a minor, for their alleged involvement in the murder of 22-year-old Rajan Kumar at Krishna Nagar under the Buddha Colony PS area in Patna. The youth was stabbed to death.
Bhojpur native held in fraud case: A native of Bhojpur district in Bihar, Deepak Kumar Ojha, who had cheated residents of Jharkhand, Gujarat, Rajasthan, besides those in his native state, of over Rs 5 crore was arrested from Udaipur and brought to Ranchi on transit remand on Monday, police said.
