Principal Secy To Pm Visits Blw, Inspects Workshop | Varanasi News – Times of India

Varanasi: Principal secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, PK Mishra, visited Banaras Locomotive works and inspected its workshops on Friday. The BLW general manager Basudev Panda later paid a courtesy visit to him at the BLW officers Guest House.
Mishra visited various shops of BLW including Loco Frame Shop, Harness Shop, Loco Assembly Shop, Loco Test Shop and observed the work related to railway engine production and also inspected the loco driver cab.
During the visit, Mishra was given a detailed information about loco production activities, manufacturing facilities, ongoing projects at BLW as well as production process and technical subjects by the BLW general manager.
Senior officials including the joint secretary, ministry of housing and urban affairs, Deepak Aggarwal, divisional commissioner of Varanasi Kaushal Raj Sharma and district magistrate S Rajalingam were also present on the occasion. Besides, senior officers of BLW including principal chief electrical engineer SK Srivastava, principal chief material manager Rajneesh Gupta, principal chief personnel officer Ranvijay, chief engineer VK Shukla and others were also present during the visit.

CBDT appoints new principal commissioner for airport
Ramavath Srinivasa Naik, the principal commissioner of Chennai Customs (audit), has been appointed as the new principal commissioner for Chennai airport. This is part of a transfer of 10 officials across the country. The appointment is expected to take effect next week.
