Seminar classes for DDE students of MKU
Madurai Kamaraj University’s Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) has announced direct seminar classes for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The classes will be held at the university’s campuses in Madurai. In addition, direct admissions are currently open for DDE courses for the academic year 2023. The University Grants Commission has approved 40 Open and Distance Learning programs at MKU for the academic session starting in 2023. MKU will also conduct a Common Entrance Test for admissions to PhD/MPhil programs on October 8. France is planning to welcome 30,000 Indian students by 2030, offering a variety of undergraduate programs. Former UGC chairman, Prof. Ved Prakash, stressed the importance of aligning academic programs with market trends and integrating marginalized sections of society.

3rd memu train on Vadodara to Dahod route
Junior railways minister Darshana Jardosh has inaugurated a new memu train, called version 3 memu, from Vadodara to Dahod. The train has a seating capacity of 950 people and can accommodate over 1,100 standing passengers. This service will benefit commuters traveling between Vadodara and Dahod in the morning and evening. It is the third memu train operating on this route. The train will depart from Vadodara at 8.45am and reach Dahod at 12:45pm, with the return journey departing Dahod at 3.50pm and arriving in Vadodara at 7.55pm.

Student faces KEA case for faking rank, admission
A 19-year-old girl named Bhuvaneshwari K is facing a criminal complaint for allegedly fabricating her NEET marks and rank. She attended a private medical college in Shivamogga with a fake admission record. The executive director of Karnataka Examinations Authority filed the complaint after discovering the deception. Bhuvaneshwari claimed her NEET marks were 480 when she actually scored 140, and she manipulated her rank to appear higher. She has been booked for cheating.
