Guwahati: The children of Safai workers, who pass Class X, will get Rs 10,000 annual scholarships. The CM on Sunday announced that while the wards of Safai workers will get Rs 15,000 after they pass out of Class XII or during the course of study, Rs 50,000 will be given as annual scholarship to those who enroll for medical, engineering and professional courses. The plan will be implemented from April 1 next year, reports Mukut Das.
