6 killed in UP’s Deoria over property dispute | Lucknow News – Times of India

LUCKNOW: Six members of two families were killed over a property dispute in Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh on Monday morning.
Heavy police force and a company of PAC have been deployed in the Fatehpur village of Rudrapur police station area.
According to the police, former district panchayat member Prem Yadav had a property dispute with one Satya Prakash Dubey, both lived in the same locality.
Around 9am, Prem reached the house of Satyaprakash, and they first had an altercation, which turned ugly when the former was beaten to death.
“As soon as information spread in the village about the murder of Prem, a dozen locals marched to the residence of Satyaprakash. The angry mob, in retaliation for the incident, killed Satyaprakash Dubey. After this, they did not stop and lynched four people, including a woman, to death,” said Sankalp Sharma, superintendent of police, Deoria.
Thereafter, some locals informed the police. A police team immediately rushed to the spot and found six bodies. All were taken to a nearby hospital and declared brought dead.
Sharma said that the situation was under control and teams were formed to nab the accused. He also said that a postmortem examination would ascertain how the six were killed.
